a shorter period. All the funds received by the Clerk of the
Circuit Court under the provisions of this section, less the
Clerk's fee and any refunds, shall be paid over by him to the
County Commissioners of Charles County, and so much of said
funds as shall be necessary shall be applied by said County
Commissioners in paying the interest and the principal of the
1937 School Bonds of Charles County and the balance, if any,
shall be used for general County purposes. Provided, however,
that in all cases where the license is for a place located in an
incorporated town, the said license fee shall be paid by the
Clerk of the Court to the Treasurer of said town, to be used
for general town purposes except that two-thirds of the Two
Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) license shall be paid to
the County Commissioners to be used as hereinbefore provided.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section
shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred ($500)
dollars.

207. It shall be unlawful for any licensee under this sub-
title to sell to any minor or habitual drunkard. And it shall
also be unlawful for any licensee under this sub-title to sell
liquors on the Sabbath Day commonly called Sunday, or any
Election Day, nor shall any liquors be sold by any licensee
between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 o'clock A. M. But
this section shall not prevent the sale of any wine, beer or
other spirituous or fermented beverages containing less than
8% alcohol by volume, on any day, including Sunday, except
the day of any general, special or primary election, or at any
time except between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 o'clock
A. M. The premises where any alcoholic beverages are sold
shall be closed at midnight and no licensee shall be permitted
to sell any such beverages except in a room hashing one or more
plain glass windows or doors so as to enable persons standing
on the outside to observe the interior of the premises at all
hours, and no curtain, blind, screen or other obstruction shall
be placed before such windows or doors. Any person violating
any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty
of misdemeanor and upon trial and conviction shall be sub-
jected to a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than two
hundred and titty dollars, or may be confined in the County
Jail or in the House of Correction for not less than sixty days;
and upon the first offense the Court may in its discretion,
and upon any subsequent offense the Court must suppress the
license of any licensee, and no license shall be issued either to
the person or to the place wherein the law has been violated
for a period of six months, and upon the suppressing of said
license, there shall be no return of the license money to the
licensee.
