The Manager, with the consent and approval of the Liquor
Control Board, shall appoint such other employees as may
be necessary to conduct such County Liquor Dispensaries or
branch dispensaries, fix their compensation at not less than
$25.00 nor more than $45.00 per week and require such bonds
for the faithful performance of their duties as the said Board
may in each case determine.
(k) MONTGOMERY COUNTY. In Montgomery County, in addi-
tion to the powers already enumerated in this section, the
Board shall have power
(1) to acquire, with the approval of the Board of County
Commissioners, by lease, purchase or otherwise such real or
personal property as may be deemed necessary by the said
Liquor Control Board to operate said dispensaries, stores or
warehouses;
(2) to acquire, by purchase or otherwise, any alcoholic bev-
erage from any source for re-sale;
(3) to appoint a general manager of said dispensaries and
warehouses, to fix his compensation and prescribe his duties,
and to require such bond for the faithful performance of his
duties as said Board may determine, and he shall serve at the
pleasure of the Liquor Control Board;
(4) to appoint a clerk and secretary of said Liquor Control
Board for Montgomery County, and such additional clerks and
employees as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this
subtitle; to fix their compensation, prescribe their duties, and
require such bond, if found to be necessary by said Board, for
the faithful performance of their duties as said Board may de-
termine, said clerk, secretary and employees to serve at the
pleasure of the Board. Provided, however, that the Liquor
Control Board shall appoint the clerk to the Board of County
Commissioners as clerk and shall fix his compensation
at $1,350.00 per annum, payable monthly. If the clerk
of the Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery County
is appointed as either a member, clerk or secretary of the Liquor
Control Board, said duties shall be in addition to those duties
as clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, and for which
he shall be paid the additional compensation so fixed for his
additional duties, which shall be paid to him in addition to
such sums received from the County Commissioners;
(5) to appoint an attorney, inspectors and such other em-
ployees as may be necessary to conduct the County dispen-
saries, stores and warehouses, and in the distribution of alco-
holic beverages, and to fix their compensation, and to require,
in their discretion, such bonds for the faithful performance of
their duties as said Board may determine, and the said at-
