by Chapter 458 of the Acts of 1945, relating to the settle-
ment of small estates of decedents dying before the effective
date of said Section 151A.

WHEREAS, it has been the legislative intent and understand-
ing that the provisions of Section 151A of Article 93 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), as said section
was added by Chapter 458 of the Acts of 1945, have been
applicable to the estates of decedents dying before the effec-
tive date of said section; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the General Assembly of Mary-
land to clarify and declare the existing law with respect there-
to ; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Testamentary Law", sub-title "Settlement of Small Estates",
said new section to be known as Section 151B, to follow im-
mediately after Section 151A, as said Section 151A was en-
acted by Chapter 458 of the Acts of 1945, to read as folllows:

151B. The provisions of Section 151A of Article 93 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Testamen-
tary Law", sub-title "Settlement of Small Estates", as en-
acted by Chapter 458 of the Acts of 1945, relating to the
settlement of small estates, are hereby declared to be available
and applicable with respect to the estates of decedents dying
before the effective date of said section, as well as with the
respect to the estates of decedents dying thereafter.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That no language in
this Act shall in any manner be construed to require a pros-
pective construction only, the purpose of the Act being to
clarify and declare the law as it has existed and does and
shall exist

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
