expiration of the terms of any members of the Advisory
Board on June 1, 1947, their successors shall be appointed
by the County Commissioners for a term of two years or
until their respective successors are appointed.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners may advance to the said Advisory Board, out of
any of its funds available, not otherwise obligated, such
sums as may be needed for expenses, engineering or other
professional skill between the issues herein provided, and
shall deduct such advances out of the proceeds of the suc-
ceeding issue. The said Advisory Board shall be provided
with the necessary space for its headquarters in any of the
public buildings in said Metropolitan District available,
and in the event nothing is available, they may rent, subject
to the approval of the County Commissioners, sufficient space
for headquarters. The County Commissioners shall not be
bound by any estimate of costs made by said Board or by
the order of the recommendations, but may proceed with the
completion of any inprovement recommended by said Board
regardless of estimated cost or preference, but shall give con-
sideration to any recommendation of said Board as to the
respective merits of the several recommendations.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That any plan or design
for the improvement or development of parks or for the
acquisition of land for Park purposes shall be prepared and
approved by the Maryland National Capital Park and Plan-
ning Commission; and all funds allocated for the acquisition,
development or other improvement of park land shall, upon
requisition therefor from said Commission to the County
Commissioners, be paid to said Commission as such funds may
be needed for the purposes of such acquisition, development
or improvement.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners are hereby authorized to use any unexpended
balance of proceeds of bonds issued or to be issued under
Chapter 662 of the Acts of 1945 for any improvement in the
Metropolitan District, as authorized by said Chapter 66'2,
without regard to the limitation as to time prescribed in
said Act.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.
