of this section shall be used for the maintenance, operation
and upkeep of said sewerage system and/or the payment of
principal or interest of the bonds issued hereunder as here-
after provided. The said Commissioners shall also have the
power to provide by ordinance such regulations as they may
in their discretion, deem necessary in connection with the
construction, operation and maintenance of the sewerage sys-
tem, including regulations as to plumbing, plumbers and any
other matters relating to said sewerage system.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That after the issuance
of the bonds authorized by this Act and until all the bonds
so issued have matured and been retired, the Commissioners
of St. Michaels shall have full power and authority to apply
the interest derived from any monies of said corporation
which may be invested and/or any monies derived from the
rates or charges imposed under the provisions of Section 5 of
this Act and/or notwithstanding any provision of Section
489B of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land to the contrary, the monies contained in the St. Michaels
Improvement Fund for the payment of the interest on the
bonds outstanding and to pay the principal of bonds matur-
ing.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That to the extent that
provision for the payment of interest on the bonds outstand-
ing and the principal of bonds maturing is not made under
authority of the preceding section, the Commissioners of St.
Michaels shall annually levy a special tax on the assessable
property of said Town sufficient to pay the interest on the
bonds outstanding and the principal of bonds maturing during
the succeeding year. Said tax shall become a lien upon the
property assessed and shall be collected in the same manner
as other taxes.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
