CHAPTER 55.
(Senate Bill 203)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
1134 of the Montgomery County Code (1939 Edition),
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Wash-
ington Grove", relating to the power of the town of Wash-
ington Grove to sell or lease property owned by it.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1134 of the Montgomery County Code (1939
Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title
Washington Grove", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
1134. Said corporation may receive in trust and may
control for the purpose of said trusts all money or other
property which may be bestowed upon such corporation by
will, deed, or in any other form of gift or conveyance, for
any general corporation purpose, or in aid of the indigent
or poor or for charitable purposes within said town, and
the said corporation may lease, grant, sell or otherwise
dispose of any property which it now owns or which may
hereafter be acquired by said town.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 56.
(Senate Bill 204)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
1154 of the Montgomery County Code (1939 Edition),
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Wash-
ington Grove", and to repeal Section 1155 of said Code
and Article, eliminating provisions relating to tax sales.
WHEREAS, Chapter 761 of the Acts of 1943, (Sections
72 to 90W of Article 81, 1943 Supplement), enacted a
general law relating to the sale of property for non-pay-
