CHAPTER 393.
(House Bill 571)

AN ACT to repeal Section 130 of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said
section relating to the duties of the assistant treasurer as
clerk to the County Commissioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 130 of Article 8 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", be and it is hereby re-
pealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

Approved April 16, 1947.

CHAPTER 394.
(House Bill 575)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 499
of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County" sub-title
"Treasurer", as said section was amended by Chapter 415
of the Acts of 1943, relating to the number and compensa-
tion of Clerks in the Office of the County Treasurer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 499 of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Treasurer", as said section was amended
by Chapter 415 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

499. The said treasurer shall be entitled to receive as
full compensation for his service as such treasurer and as
collector of all county, State and school taxes, as well as all
other taxes, an annual salary of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,
000) for and during his term of office and until his successor
shall have been duly elected and qualified, and he shall employ
such clerks or assistants of his own selection for conducting
