CHAPTER 392.
(House Bill 568)

AN ACT to add a new section to Chapter 459 of the Acts
of 1943, entitled "An Act to establish a Fire District in
Montgomery County and to levy funds for the Cabin John
Park Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., its successor or
successors, and relating to the creation of a Fire Board",
said new section to be known as Section 2A and to follow
immediately after Section 2 of said Chapter 459, adding
one new member to said Fire Board and specifying the
area in which he shall reside.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Chapter
459 of the Acts of 1943, entitled "An Act to establish a Fire
District in Montgomery County and to levy funds for the
Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., its suc-
cessor or successors, and relating to the creation of a Fire
Board", said new section to be known as Section 2A, to
follow immediately after Section 2 of said Chapter 459, and
to read as follows:

2A. That in addition to the members of said Board pro-
vided by Section 2 hereof, there shall be one additional
member, to have the qualifications and to be chosen at the
same time and in the same manner as the members from
Areas 1 to 5 of said Fire District, the initial term of whom
shall expire on May 15, 1949. Said additional member shall
reside in the following area, which is hereby added to said
Fire District described in Section 1 hereof:

Area No. 6. The area bounded by the Rockville-Great Falls
Road, River Road to Swain's Lock and to the west and south
by the Maryland-Virginia Boundary Line and, from Great
Falls, by MacArthur Boulevard, to the intersection of the
Rockville-Great Falls Road.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
