18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "County Com-
missioners", said new section to be known as Section 187A, to
follow immediately after Section 187 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

187A. The County Commissioners are hereby authorized
and empowered within their discretion to increase or de-
crease the salary of any employee who is paid by said County
Commissioners and who has been appointed, at will or other-
wise, either by said County Commissioners or by any other
duly elected or appointed official of said county, provided,
however, that no decrease determined by said County Commis-
sioners shall be made in excess of twenty-five per cent. (25%)
of the salary then being paid, and in no event shall such a de-
crease cause the amount of such salary paid to fall below the
minimum amount prescribed by any law of or pertaining to
Queen Anne's County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 386.
(House Bill 549)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
202 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County", sub-title
"Frostburg", providing for the amount of compensation to
be paid to the Mayor and the Councilmen and other officers
of the City of Frostburg.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 202 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County", sub-title
"Frostburg", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

202. The Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg may allow
their Clerk, Treasurer, Chief of Police, Policemen, and other
officers such reasonable compensation for their services as
they may deem proper and shall have the power to dismiss any
of them, subject to the limitations set forth in Section 201 of
this Article, at pleasure. The Mayor shall receive a salary of
