and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), by increasing the
compensation of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Balti-
more City to Eighteen Dollars ($18.00) per day; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to have all of the provisions relat-
ing to the compensation of Judges of the Orphans' Court in
the Public General Laws and that all Local Laws relating to
said subject be repealed; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 238 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law", sub-
title "Orphans' Court", as said section was amended by
Chapter 801 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

238. The Judges of the Orphans' Courts of the several
counties and Baltimore City shall receive compensation as
herein prescribed, said compensation to be paid monthly. Each
of the Judges of the Orphans' Court for Frederick County
shall receive the sum of Six Dollars ($6.00) for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said Court. Each of the
Judges for the Orphans' Court for Garrett County shall re-
ceive the sum of Six Dollars ($6.00) for every day's attend-
ance upon the sessions of said Court, together with an allow-
ance of five cents (5c) per mile for each mile traveled in
attending the sessions of said Court. Each of the. Judges of
the Orphans' Court for Caroline, Carroll, Charles, Dorchester,
Howard, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Washington, Wico-
mico and Worcester Counties shall receive the sum of Eight
Dollars ($8.00) for every day's attendance upon the sessions
of said Court, and the Judges of the Orphans' Court for
Somerset County shall receive an allowance of Four Dollars
and Fifty Cents ($4.50) for mileage for every day's attend-
ance upon the sessions of said Court. Each of the Judges
of the Orphans' Courts for Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Cecil,
Calvert and Harford Counties shall receive the sum of Ten
Dollars ($10.00) for every day's attendance upon the sessions
of said Court. The Chief Judge of the Orphans' Court for
Kent County shall receive the. sum of Thirteen Dollars and
Fifty Cents ($13.50) and each of the other Judges shall each
receive the sum of Eleven Dollars ($11.00) for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said Court. Each of the
Judges of the Orphans' Court for St. Mary's County shall
receive Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for every day's attend-
ance upon the sessions of said Court. Each of the Judges of
the Orphans' Court for Montgomery County shall receive the
sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for every day's attendance
