appointed to the force herein created shall serve the regular
probationary period hereinbefore provided for but during said
period shall receive the regular salaries herein provided for
the positions to which they may be appointed. The aforesaid
Desk Clerks shall have the same powers and duties as police
officers and conservators of the peace as other members of the
Prince George's County Police Force, and shall receive the
same allowance for uniforms as other members of the police
force. The Lieutenants of the Prince George's County Police
shall receive a salary of Three Thousand Three Hundred and
Eighty Dollars ($3,380.00) per annum each, payable in equal
monthly installments and no other fees or compensation what-
ever.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That Sections 415 and
416C of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (Flack's Edition, 1943), as enacted by Chapter 334 of
the Acts of 1941, and Chapter 416C of said Code as enacted by
Chapter 900 of the Acts of 1945, be, and the same are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shal take
effect July 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 368.
(House Bill 375)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 238
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Sup-
plement), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Orphans'
Court", as said section was amended by Chapter 801 of the
Acts of 1945, and to repeal Section 463 of Article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City
Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title
"Orphans' Court", as said section was amended by Chapter
783 of the Acts of 1945, increasing the compensation of the
Judges of the Orphans' Court of St. Mary's and Prince
George's Counties and providing for an allowance for
mileage for the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Somer-
set County and making the provisions of Section 238 con-
form to the provisions of Section 463 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter.

WHEREAS, Chapter 783 of the Acts of 1945 amended Section
463 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
