pear on any bond or coupon shall cease to be such officer
before the delivery of such bonds, such signature or such
facsimile shall nevertheless be valid and sufficient for all
purposes the same as if he had remained in office until such
delivery. Any bonds issued to refund bonds guaranteed as
to the payment of principal and interest by the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties shall
be guaranteed in like manner in the form and under the pro-
visions of Section 994 (1018) of this Article. Such bonds
shall be in addition to any bonds authorized to be issued
under this Article or any amendments thereof...
For the purpose of retiring the refunding bonds issued
under the provisions of this section and the payment of the
interest thereon, there shall be levied annually against all
of the assessable property within the Sanitary District by
the County Commissioners of Montgomery and Prince
George's Counties, so long as such bonds are outstanding and
unpaid, a tax sufficient to meet the interest on such bonds
as it becomes due and to pay the principal thereof at matur-
ity, such tax to be determined, levied, collected and paid over
to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in the
manner provided by Section 995 (1019) of this Article, and
all of the provisions of said Section 995 (1019) shall apply
to the refunding bonds issued hereunder.
Any provisions of law requiring the .fixing and collecting
of front foot benefit charges for the payment of the principal
of and the interest on the outstanding bonds so refunded
shall apply to the payment of the refunding bonds issued here-
under.
994B (1018B). In case any bond heretofore or hereafter
issued by the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, or by
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, the governing
body of said District, shall have become mutilated or shall have
been destroyed or lost, the Commission may provide for the
execution and delivery to the holder or registered owner thereof
of a new bond of like date, number, maturity and tenor in ex-
change and substitution for and upon the cancellation of the.
mutilated bond and its interest coupons, if any, or in lieu
of and in substitution for the bond and its coupons, if any,
destroyed or lost, upon such conditions as to evidence of
ownership, the destruction or loss of such bond, indemnity
and payment of charges in connection with such exchange
or substitution as the Commission shall determine.
If such mutilated or destroyed or lost bond shall have
been guaranteed as to payment of principal and interest by
the County Commissioners of Montgomery and Prince George's
