costs of installation, and charges for rent of the use of the
sewers of said city and water charges incident thereto, are
to be collected as city taxes are now collected, and said
installation costs, sewer and water rents shall be liens on
the property served by said sewer and municipal water
system.
(b) Any person" interfering with the agents, servants or
employees of the said Mayor and Council of Crisfield or with
any of them, in the discharge of the duties imposed by this
section or the two preceding sections, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not less than Ten
Dollars ($10.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars
($10.00) to be recovered by criminal proceedings in the
Circuit Court for Somerset County or before any Justice of
the Peace of said County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not
become effective until it shall have been submitted for adop-
tion or rejection to the qualified voters of the Town of Cris-
field at the next municipal election or at any special election
called for such purpose by the Mayor and Council of Crisfield.
There shall be printed on the ballots to be used at said elec-
tion the title of this Act and underneath the said title on
separate lines a square or box to the right of and opposite
the words "For Charter Amendment" and a corresponding
square or box to the right of and opposite the words "Against
Charter Amendment", so that the voters shall be able to
designate by a cross-mark in the proper square or box his
or her decision for or against said question. If a majority
of the votes cast on said question shall be "For Charter
Amendment" then this Act shall become effective immedi-
ately; but if a majority of the votes cast thereon shall be
"Against Charter Amendment" then this Act shall be null
and void and of no effect whatsoever.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
