gomery County and the candidate receiving the largest' and
the candidate receiving the next largest number of votes for
Councilmen from the Sixth and Twenty-first Precincts of the
Thirteenth Election District of Montgomery County and the
candidate receiving the largest number of votes for Council-
man from the Ninth and Twenty-second Precincts of the
Thirteenth Election District of Montgomery County and the
candidate receiving the largest and the candidate receiving
the next largest number of votes for Councilmen from the
Fourth Precinct of the Chillum Election District in Prince
George's County shall be elected.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 349.
(House Bill 293)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
201A of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County",
sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Stenographers", as
enacted by Chapter 347 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1943, providing for the appointment and in-
creasing the compensation of stenographers by the Judges
of the Seventh Judicial Circuit resident in Prince George's
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 201A of Article 17 of the Code of'Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Steno-
graphers", as enacted by Chapter 347 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1943, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

201A. Each of the Judges of the Seventh Judicial Circuit
resident in Prince George's County is hereby authorized to
appoint a stenographer for his official use. Each of said
stenographers shall hold his or her position at the pleasure of
the Judge by whom he or she is appointed, and shall receive
compensation therefor at a rate not exceeding Twenty-five
