Traffic Engineer, Four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($4,500) per annum;

Investigators, Traffic Bureau, Fifty-five Dollars ($55.00)
each per week;

Draftsman, Traffic Bureau, Two Thousand Eight Hundred
Dollars ($2,800) per annum;

Clerk, Traffic Bureau, Forty-seven Dollars and Fifty Cents
($47.50) each per week for the first year, Fifty-one Dollars
($51.00) each per week for the second year and Fifty-six Dol-
lars ($56.00) each per week for the third year and thereafter;

Supervisor, Taxicab Bureau, Three Thousand Nine Hundred
Dollars ($3,900) per annum;

Telephone, Teletype and Signal Operators, Sixty-two Dollars
($62.00) each per week;

Telephone and Signal Clerk, Fifty-five Dollars ($55.00) each
per week;

Hostlers, Two Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($2,300)
each per annum;

The compensation and salaries herein provided shall be paid
at such time or times as the Police Commissioner of Baltimore
City shall determine unless otherwise specifically provided
by law.

On and after January 1, 1948, the compensation of all em-
ployees of the Police Department shall be as provided for in
the annual Ordinance of Estimates of Baltimore City, pro-
vided, however, that for a period of three years from January
1, 1948, the salaries and compensation of all the officers and
employees of said Department shall not be, less than the com-
pensation and salaries paid on January 1, 1947.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect January 1, 1948.
