new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (3) and to
follow immediately after Sub-section (2) of said section,
relating to investments of foreign life insurance companies
in Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to
Section 25 of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title "General Provi-
sions", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (3),
to follow immediately after Sub-section (2) of said section,
and to read as follows:
25.
(3) (Foreign Life Insurance Companies.) Any foreign
life insurance company may acquire by purchase or in any
other manner, and take, receive, hold, use, employ, manage,
dispose of, or deal with, any property, real or personal, and
situated in the State of Maryland, that it may be authorized
to acquire, hold or invest in by the statutes of the state of
its domicile, provided that such property or investments are
of a grade and quality as to security, substantially equiva-
lent to that required by the laws of this state in the case of
domestic life insurance companies.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 245.
(House Bill 292)
AN ACT to add three new sections to the Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws of Prince George's County, (Flack's Edition,
1943), title "Dogs", to be known as Sections 493A, 493B,
and 493C, and to follow immediately after Section 493
of the said Code; to fix the amount of fees to collectors
of dog tax, to authorize the Board of Commissioners to
establish a dog pound and to provide for collection of stray
dogs and to make regulations therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections be, and the same are hereby
added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
