Assembly. The offices of said Commission shall be open
for business during such hours as the Governor shall order
and designate and at such other times as the Commission
shall deem necessary, and one or more responsible persons,
to be designated by the Commission or the Secretary under
the direction of the Commission, shall be on duty at all
such times in immediate charge thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 177.
(Senate Bill 213)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 110 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-title "Destroying Property Maliciously", and to re-
peal Section 515 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition),
title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Destroying Property
Maliciously", to make the laws relating to the malicious
destruction of property uniform throughout the State.

WHEREAS, the local law of Baltimore City as to the
malicious destruction of property is somewhat more com-
prehensive and makes it unlawful maliciously to destroy
some property not enumerated in the State law; and

WHEREAS, there seems to be no logical basis for this
distinction or any reason why a criminal statute of this
kind should not be uniform throughout the State; there;
fore;

SECTIONl. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 110 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Destroying Property Maliciously", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

110. If any person unlawfully and maliciously shall
disfigure, cut, mutilate, injure or damage any church,
