City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-
title "Criminal Court of Baltimore", said sections relat-
ing to the payment of costs and expenses when an
accused person shall be acquitted.

WHEREAS, the provisions of these sections are not fol-
lowed at the present time; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 438 and 439 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Criminal Court
of Baltimore", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

Approved March 29, 1947.

CHAPTER 169.
(Senate Bill 189)

AN ACT to repeal Section 443 of Article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City
Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title
"Criminal Court of Baltimore", said section relating to
the binding out of certain minors who have been con-
victed in the Criminal .Court.

WHEREAS, the general State apprentice law has been re-
pealed and there is no longer any authority for binding
out children, thereby rendering this section unnecessary;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 443 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edi-
tion), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Criminal Court of
Baltimore", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.
