SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 305 and 306 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Char-
ter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Ad-
vertisements", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June I, 1947.

Approved March 29, 1947.

CHAPTER 167.
(Senate Bill 185)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 555-557 of Article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore
City Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City",
sub-title "Gas Companies", said sections relating to the
introduction of natural gas into the City of Baltimore.

WHEREAS, the provisions of these sections are amply
covered by the City Charter which gives the Board of
Estimates and the Mayor and City Council the right to
grant public utility franchises and the Public Service
Commission law gives the Public Service Commission the
right to fix public utility rates, thereby rendering these
sections unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 555-557 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Gas Com-
panies", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 438 and 439 of Article 4 of the
