of all chattel records in a well bound book or books, which
index shall be in the names of each and all grantors and each
and all grantees.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
58 of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Clerks of Courts," sub-title "Clerks of
Circuit Courts," as said section was amended by Chapter
398 of the Acts of 1945, relating to the bonds of the clerks
of the circuit courts of the counties and the clerks of the
several courts of Baltimore City, and to repeal Sections
470, 471 and 474 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City," sub-title "Clerks of the
Law Courts of Baltimore City," Sections 470 and 471
having been enacted by Chapter 712 of the Acts of 1945,
Sections 482 and 483 of said Article 4, sub-title "Clerk
of the Criminal Court of Baltimore City," as said sec-
tions were enacted by Chapter 403 of the Acts of 1945 and
Sections 484 and 484A of said Article 4, sub-title "Clerks
of the Circuit Court of Baltimore City and of the Circuit
Court Number Two of Baltimore City," as said sections
were enacted by Chapter 711 of the Acts of 1945.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 58 of Article 17 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts," sub-
title "Clerks of Circuit Courts," as said section was amended
by Chapter 398 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
58. Beginning with November 5, 1946, the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for each county, before he acts as such, shall
give bond to the State of Maryland in the penal sum of
fourteen thousand dollars; the Clerk of the Superior Court
of Baltimore City, before he acts as such, shall give bond to
the State of Maryland in the penal sum of thirty thousand
