dollars; the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas before he
acts as such, shall give bond to the State of Maryland in the
penal sum of fifty thousand dollars; the Clerk of the Balti-
more City Court, before he acts as such, the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court of Baltimore City, before he acts as such, and the
Clerk of the Circuit Court Number Two of Baltimore City,
before he acts as such, shall each give bond to the State of
Maryland in the penal sum of $20,000; the Clerk of the
Criminal Court of Baltimore City, before he acts as such, shall
give bond to the State of Maryland in the penal sum of $14,000.
Said bonds shall be given by each of said Clerks, respectively,
with security or securities to be approved by a judge of the
court of which he is clerk, and with condition that he faith-
fully perform the duties of his office and account for all funds
received under color of his office. The said bond shall be
recorded in the office of the court of which he is clerk and
thereafter filed with the State Comptroller. Every such
clerk shall give a new bond in like manner on or before
the first day of December of the second year following his
qualification in office.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 470, 471
and 474 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title
"Baltimore City," sub-title "Clerks of the Law Courts of
Baltimore City," Sections 470 and 471 having been enacted
by Chapter 712 of the Acts of 1945; Sections 482 and 483
of said Article 4, sub-title "Clerk of the Criminal Court of
Baltimore City," as said sections were enacted by Chapter
403 of the Acts of 1945; and Sections 484 and 484A of
said Article 4, sub-title "Clerks of the Circuit Court of
Baltimore City and of the Circuit Court Number Two of
Baltimore City," as said sections were enacted by Chapter
711 of the Acts of 1945, be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
222(1) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title
