to time by the said Commissioners of Montgomery County,
payable monthly, and the County Commissioners are further
authorized to set up a fund equal to the total amount of Three
Hundred ($300.00) Dollars for each member of the police force,
with the exception of the Chief of Police, which fund, shall be
used by the County Commissioners for the purpose of defray-
ing each member's expenses for material and supplies for
his motorcycle, automobile, uniform and official equipment.
The Chief of Police, and the members of the Montgomery
County Police shall receive in addition to the amounts herein
specified, no other fees or compensation of any kind whatso-
ever.

794. There is hereby created a fund designated and known
as the Police Relief and Retirement Fund of Montgomery Coun-
ty. All of the moneys of said fund shall be payable to the Treas-
urer of Montgomery County, and shall be paid out by him
upon certificate of the Police Civil Service Commissioner.
The said fund shall consist of all fines imposed by the Police
Trial Board upon members of the Police Department of said
County by way of discipline, all rewards, proceeds of gifts,
and emoluments that may be received by any member of said
Department for extraordinary services, except such part
thereof as the County Commissioners may allow to be re-
tained by members of said Department; a deduction of
two and one-half per centum of the monthly salary of each
member of said Police Department which deduction shall be
matched by an equal amount of money out of the general
funds of Montgomery County which shall be credited by the
Treasurer of Montgomery County to said Police Relief and
Retirement Fund of Montgomery County; donations, and the
net proceeds of sales of unclaimed property in the custody
of the Police Department; all of which shall be paid to the
Treasury of Montgomery County to the credit of said fund,
and should the said fund at any time be insufficient to defray
the expenditures hereinafter provided for, the County Com-
missioners, in that event, are authorized, and it shall be
their duty, to levy upon the taxable property of Montgomery
County a tax sufficient to provide for such deficits; to pay
to the Treasurer of Montgomery County, to the credit of said
"Policemen Relief and Retirement Fund of Montgomery
County", such sums as may be necessary from time to time
to meet deficiencies in said fund. The moneys to the credit
of the said fund shall be available only for expenditures
for the purpose set forth in this sub-title, and all expenditures
from said fund shall be made and accounted for in the same
manner as other expenditures of the government of Mont-
gomery County.
