"Howard County", sub-title "County Commissioners", as
enacted by Chapter 364 of 1937, and Sections 296, 296A and
297 of said Code, title "Howard County", sub-title "State's
Attorney", Section 296A having been enacted by Chapter
373 of 1943, relating to the compensation of the State's
Attorney of Howard County.
WHEREAS, Chapter 791 of the Acts of 1945 prescribes the
salaries of the State's Attorneys for the several Counties,
thereby superseding and making unnecessary Sections 77A,
296, 296A and 297 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1920 Edition) ; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 77A of Article 14 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Howard
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", as enacted by
Chapter 364 of 1937, and Sections 296, 296A and 297 of said
Code, title "Howard County", sub-title "State's Attorney",
Section 296A having been enacted by Chapter 373 of 1943, be
and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
781, 782, 794 and 795 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Mont-
gomery County", sub-title "Police" as amended by Laws
of Maryland 1943, Chapter 449, said amendments to provide
for the appointment and compensation of police officers
and to establish certain retirement provisions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 781, 782, 794 and 795 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition),
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Police", as
amended by Chapter 449 of the Laws of Maryland, 1943 Ses-
