SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this sub-title shall
be liberally construed to the end that its purpose, namely the
regulation and control of all dogs in the City of Crisfield by
the Mayor and Council of Crisfleld, may and will be effected.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 888.
(House Bill 894)

AN ACT to repeal Section 32 of the Montgomery County
Code (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "Bills of Exchange and Promissory
Notes", said section making Saturday afternoon a legal
half-holiday in Montgomery County.

WHEREAS, Section 11 of Article 13 of the Annotated Code
makes Saturday afternoon a legal holiday throughout the
State, thereby rendering this section unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 32 of the Montgomery County Code (1939
Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), "title "Montgomery County",
sub-title "Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes", be and

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
