AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County (Flack's Edition, 1943),
title "Roads", said new section to be known as Section
1200A, to follow immediately after Section 1200 of said
Code, and, with certain exceptions, to authorize the County
Commissioners of Prince George's County to establish rules,
regulations and orders respecting the opening, grading, con-
struction, improvement, maintenance and repairing of public
highways and appurtenances in Prince George's County, to
provide for the issuance of permits in connection with such
work, and for fees therefor; to make any violation thereof a
misdemeanor, and to provide penalties for violations of such
regulations.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be. and it hereby is, added to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(Flack's Edition, 1943), title "Roads", said new section to
be known as Section 1200A, to follow immediately after
Section 1200 of said Code of Prince George's County (Flack's
Edition, 1943), and to read as follows:
1200A. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County is hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to adopt, and from time to time, change, add to
and amend rules, regulations and orders, including those
relative to the issuance of permits and to fees to be charged
therefor, governing the proper opening, grading, construc-
tion, improvement, maintenance and repairing of county
roads, lanes, streets, alleys, avenues, appurtenant structures
and right-of-way construction; other public rights-of-way in
Prince George's County including those dedicated for public
use. Thereafter no public road, lane, street, alley, avenue,
appurtenant structures or other right-of-way construction
shall be opened, graded, constructed, improved, maintained,
or repaired by any person, association or corporation unless
such opening, grading, constructing, improving, maintaining
or repairing complies in all particulars with such rules, regu-
lations or orders. Any person, association or corporation
violating any provision of this Act or any rule, regulation,
or order of the County Commissioners passed pursuant here-
to shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of
not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or imprison-
ment for not more than thirty (30) days, or both, for each
