WHEREAS, the aforesaid Sections 144 and 145 of Article 3
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition)
are obsolete; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 144 and 145 of Article 3 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Balti-
more County", sub-title "County Commissioners", be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted., That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 816.
(House Bill 690)
AN ACT to add a new sub-title and three new sections to
Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Harford County", sub-title "Bel Air", (Higinbothom's
Code) said new sub-title to be known as "Taxicabs", and
said new sections to be known as Sections 139K, 139L and
139M to follow Section 139J, as enacted by the Acts of
1943, Chapter 537; providing for the regulation in Bel Air
of taxicabs and their owners and operators by the Com-
missioners of Bel Air, and providing penalties for viola-
tions of such regulations.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-title known as "Taxicabs", and three
new sections be and the same are hereby added to Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Harford ounty",
sub-title "Bel Air", said new sub-title and new sections to
follow immediately after Section 139J, as enacted by Chapter
537 of the Acts of 1943, and to be known as Sections 139K,
139L and 139M and to read as follows:
TAXICABS.
139K. The term "taxicab" as used in this sub-title shall
embrace any motor vehicle for hire designated to carry seven
persons or less, including the driver, operated upon any public
street or highway in the Town of Bel Air, Harford County,
or, on call or demand, accepting or soliciting passengers
indiscriminately for transportation for hire between such
