in a penal sum to be set by them, conditioned upon the faith-
ful expenditure of the funds derived hereunder.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That before any tax
shall be levied under the provisions of this Act, the question
of such levy shall first be submitted to the legally qualified
voters of each said Election District of Prince George's Coun-
ty at the next general election to be held in November, 1948.
There shall be printed on the ballot to be used at said elec-
tion the title of this Act and underneath said title, on
separate lines, a square or box to the right of and opposite the
words "For Fire Tax", and a corresponding square or box
to the right of and opposite the words "Against Fire tax",
so that the voters shall be able to designate by a cross-mark
in the proper square or box his or her decision for or against
said fire tax. If a majority of the votes cast in any of said
election districts shall be "For Fire Tax", then said tax shall
be levied and paid over in accordance with the provisions of
this Act, but if a majority of the votes cast shall be "Against
Fire Tax", then this Act shall be of no effect and shall be
null and void in that particular election district.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 809.
(House Bill 657)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Licenses", said new
section to be known as Section 377 AF, and to follow im-
mediately after Section 377 AE of said Article as enacted
by Chapter 1013 of the Acts of 1945, relating to, clarifying
and defining the powers of the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County to regulate and license certain con-
tests, meets and events in Anne Arundel County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Licenses", said
new section to be known as Section 377 AF and to follow
