tice of the Peace or Court of the county or city where the
offense was committed shall be fined not less than Ten Dol-
lars ($10.00) nor more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) and
costs for each and every offense. And in addition to said
fine shall be fined Five Dollars ($5.00) for each and every
game bird and game animal caught or killed illegally, pur-
chased or offered for purchase, sold or offered for sale, barter,
or exchange, or taken or killed in excess of the bag limit
or found in possession illegally. The penalties herein pro-
vided, however, shall not apply to the illegal hunting, pur-
suing, catching, killing or possession of deer, the penalties
for which shall be the penalties set forth in Section 83.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1. 1947.

CHAPTER 797.
(House Bill 604)

AN ACT to authorize the State of Maryland to pay a pension
to former Circuit Court Judge Linwood L. Clark and to
correct an unintentional discrimination in the Judges'
Pension Act of 1943.

WHEREAS, it was the legislative intent to preserve vested
pension rights under Charter 390 of the Acts of 1941
to all former Judges when the General Assembly of Mary-
land enacted Chapter 966 of the Acts of 1943, and

WHEREAS, the language used in Chapter 966 of the Acts
of 1943 unintentionally deprived certain former judges of
their pensions, and

WHEREAS, the General Assembly in 1945 by Senate Bill
123 attempted to correct the error but said Bill was vetoed
as its language endangered the entire permanent pension
plan, therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State of Maryland be and it is hereby auth-
orized and directed to pay to former Judge Linwood L.
Clark the same pension of $2,000.00 per year as now is paid
to other former Judges under the saving proviso in Section
