sub-section to be known as Sub-section (aa) and to follow
immediately after Sub-section (a) of said Section 60 and all
to read as follows:

4.

D. Beer License, Class D (On Sale) Generally. Such a
license shall be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
the county in which the place of business is located, and shall
authorize the holder thereof to keep for sale and to sell beer
at retail, at the place therein described, for consumption on
the premises or elsewhere, but no such license shall be issued
for any drug store. The annual fee for such a license shall
be Fifty Dollars ($50.00) except in Garrett and Howard
Counties where the fee shall be One Hundred Dollars ($100.-
00) and shall be payable to said Clerk, before any such license
is issued, for distribution as hereinafter provided, and except
in St. Mary's County where the fee shall be $75.00 for a special
Class D (On Sale) Beer License entitling the holder to sell
beer on Sunday.

This section shall not apply to Baltimore City and Balti-
more, Allegany, Caroline, Carroll, Dorchester, Frederick,
Harford, Queen Anne's, Somerset and Talbot Counties.

The hours during which the privileges conferred by such a
license may be exercised shall be from 6 A. M. to 12 o'clock
midnight, except in Prince George's County where the hours
shall be from 6 A. M. to 2 A. M. daily, in Howard County
where the hours shall be from 6 A. M. to 1 A. M. daily except
in the Fourth District where the opening hour on Sunday
shall be 1 P. M. and in Garrett County where the hours shall
be from 7 A. M. to 12 o'clock midnight daily except on Sun-
days, and in St. Mary's County where the holder of a license
other than a special Class D (On Sale) Beer License shall not
be permitted to exercise such privileges from 12 o'clock mid-
night on Saturday until 6 A. M. Monday.

D. Beer, Wine and Liquor License, Class D (On Sale)
Taverns in Baltimore City, North Beach, Chesapeake Beach
and in Baltimore and Howard Counties. In Baltimore City
and in Baltimore, St. Mary's, Calvert and Howard Counties, the
Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of said City, if the place
of business is located in said City, or the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for said Counties, if the place of business is located
in either of said Counties, shall be authorized to issue beer,
wine and liquor licenses, Class D, which shall authorize
the holder thereof to keep for sale and sell all alcoholic
beverages at retail at the place therein described for con-
