the provisions of Sections 27 and 62 of this Article. Such
transfer shall be made only upon the surrender of the
outstanding license and the execution of an application
by the new owner or owners, as in the case of an original
application, and the payment of the sum of $5.00 as a transfer
fee, whereupon the Commission shall issue a new license for
the remainder of the license year. No new license shall be
issued if the outstanding license is suspended or revoked at
the time of the transfer.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 742.
(House Bill 408)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
60A of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-title "Li-
censes", revising the provisions regarding the issue of
licenses to fishermen who operated commercial fishing nets
during the calendar years 1941 to 1942.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 60A of Article 39 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Fish and Fisheries",
sub-title "Licenses", be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
60A. In addition to the licenses issued under the provisions
of Section 60, the Commission shall issue additional licenses
to applicants who fished for commercial purposes with the
type of nets described in Section 60 prior to 1942 but who did
not apply for a license prior to December 1, 1941, because
they were employed in government service or an essential war
industry; or if said applicant has had such a license in the
past and did not apply for renewal because of some physical
disability.
Immediately after the effective date of this Act, the Com-
mission shall advertise in at least one daily newspaper of
general circulation throughout the State that applications will
be accepted from such qualified applicants.
Applications, together with positive proof that the appli-
cant operated commercial fishing nets in 1940 or 1941 and
