of credentials, to enter and inspect beauty shops or schools
at any time the establishment is open for business, and it
shall be unnecessary for the inspector to be accompanied on
the inspection tour of the establishment by either the owner
or manager, or in case of a school, a teacher. Inspector re-
ports must be signed personally by the manager.

490. (Fees.) The registration fees for the issuance of
licenses, with or without examination, shall be as follows:

(a) Ten Dollars ($10.00) for beauty shop owners, mana-
gers and teachers.

(b) Two Dollars ($2.00) for operators, manicurists and
demonstrators.

(c) One Dollar ($1.00) for students or apprentices.

(d) Ten Dollars ($10.00) for electrologists and Twenty-
five Dollars ($25.00) as examination fee for electrologists, the
examination to be given by a physician to be appointed by
the Board.

(e) Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for schools of beauty cul-
ture. Public and parochial schools, however, are hereby
declared to be exempted from the payment of any license
fees, but are subject to the other provisions of this sub-title.
Annual renewal fees shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00) for shop
owners, managers, electrologists and school instructors; Two
Dollars ($2.00) for operators, manicurists and demonstra-
tors; and Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for schools of beauty
culture. The above fees for registration, examination and
certificate shall be paid in advance to the Secretary of the
Board.

495. (Penalties.) (a) Any person who shall practice or
teach beauty culture, or act in any capacity wherein regis-
tration is required, without complying with this sub-title,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall
be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00)
nor more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00).

(b) Any owner or manager of a school of beauty culture
or beauty shop who shall knowingly enroll as a student, or
knowingly employ any person in or about a school or beauty
shop while such person is suffering from a contagious or
infectious disease, or who shall continue the enrollment or
employment of such person after discovery of the same,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than Ten
Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00).
