(b) An amount equal to fifty per centum of his average
final compensation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 119.
(House Bill 34)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
21(a), (b), (d), (f) and (i) and 23 of Article 99 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title
"Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish," sub-title "Upland
and Migratory Game Birds and Game Animals," sub-
section (f) having been amended by Chapter 611 of the
Acts of 1945, revising and clarifying the provisions of
said sections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 21(a), (b), (d), (f) and (i) and 23 of
Article 99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Sup-
plement), title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish," sub-
title "Upland Migratory Game Birds and Animals," sub-
section (f) having been amended by Chapter 611 of the
Acts of 1945, be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

21 (a). It shall be unlawful for any person to set any
trap (except box traps for rabbits), net or snare of any
description for the purpose of taking game, except fur-
bearing animals. If any person is found in possession of
any trap, net, or snare, it shall be prima facie evidence
said devices were in possession for the purpose of violating
this Section, and same shall be confiscated by any officer
of this State and destroyed. It shall be unlawful for any
person to place any traps of any description on the prop-
erty of another without their written permission.

(b) It shall be unlawful to hunt, pursue, catch, kill, trap,
shoot, or attempt to hunt, pursue, catch, kill, trap or shoot
any game except during the open season as provided by
law, or have any dead game in possession during any closed
season whether same was killed within the State of Mary-
