give written notice of his intention so to do to the nearest
officer of the Department of Tidewater Fisheries, and such
notice shall name the day and hour when he intends to
take or catch oysters and shall be mailed to said officer
at least three days in advance of the date named in the
notice.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 683.
(Senate Bill 466)
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Somerset County to place certain county road em-
ployees on a parity with certain employees of the State
Roads Commission with respect to vacation and sick
leave.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Somerset County be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to grant to
employees working on the county roads under the super-
vision of the State Roads Commission but being carried on
the county payroll as chauffeurs, foreman and power grade
operators the same rights and privileges regarding vaca-
tion and sick leave as the employees of the State Roads
Commission working in said county but carried on the
State payroll in accordance with the authority heretofore
conferred on said County Commissioners by Section 16A
of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.
