or unconstitutionality shall not affect the remaining pro-
visions of this sub-title and the application of such pro-
visions to other persons or circumstances. If an exemption
or exception from the tax is held invalid, the tax shall
apply without such exemption or exception.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or
parts of laws, whether public general or public local laws,
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and they
are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
12 (v) of Article 72 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
titled "Oysters and Clams", sub-title "Private Oyster
Culture", as said Section 12 (v) was revised by Chapter
929 of the Acts of 1945, extending the season for taking
or catching oysters in St. Mary's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 12 (v) of Article 72 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, titled "Oysters and Clams", sub-title "Private
Oyster Culture", as said Section 12 (v) was revised by
Chapter 929 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
12. (v) Season for Taking or Catching Cultivated
Oysters. The season for taking or catching oysters for
sale from leased areas of this State shall be between sun-
rise and sunset of any day, except Sunday, between the
first day of October and the first day of April, inclusive,
next succeeding, except in Worcester County, where oysters
are permitted to be taken and sold at any time, and except
in St. Mary's County, where the season for taking or catch-
ing oysters shall extend to the fifteenth day of April,
inclusive; provided, however, that any lessee desiring to
take or catch oysters by dredge or hand scrape during
October, or during the last fifteen days of March, shall
