otherwise qualified) shall be eligible to register and after
registration shall be eligible to vote at all Town elections.
Provided, however, that the requirement of registration
shall not apply to the election provided for in Section
Nine of this Act to elect the first Fruitland Commission.
(B) At least twenty-eight days prior to the first Mon-
day of October, 1948, and on a like date each two years
thereafter, the Fruitland Commission shall appoint a
Board of Election Supervisors to be composed of three
persons, possessing the qualifications of an eligible voter
of the Town of Fruitland. Provided, however, that the
requirement of registration shall not apply to the members
of the first Board of Election Supervisors appointed under
this Section.
(C) That the members of said Board shall receive no
salary or compensation.
(D) That, before entering upon the duties of his office,
each member of said Board shall take oath before the
Secretary Commissioner, or before a Justice of the Peace
or other officer or person, including a Notary Public,
authorized by law to administer oaths in Wicomico County,
that he will diligently, faithfully and impartially discharge
his duties as a member of said Board.
(E) That said Board shall select one of its members
as Clerk, and each member of said Board shall have power
to administer paths in connection with the registration
of voters in said Town.
(F) That the said Board shall, on the second Monday
next prior to each regular election of the Town of Fruit-
land, conduct a registration of the qualified voters of said
Town. All registrations subsequent to the first shall be
for the purpose of adding the names of those qualified
voters not previously registered and the removal of the
names of thosa persons who shall have ceased to be quali-
fied voters. The Fruitland Commission may, not more
than once each eight years, require a re-registration of
all the voters of said Town.
(G) That said registration shall be conducted on the
days named between the hours of two P. M. and eight
P. M. at the regular meeting place of the Fruitland Com-
mission, unless said Commission shall, by resolution en-
tered in the minute book of said Commission, appoint a
different place. The said Board of Election Supervisors
shall, at least ten days before each registration day, post
