in Wicomico County. At any regular or special meeting of
the Commission held not more than sixty nor less than six
days after the meeting at which such ordinance was in-
troduced and first read, said ordinance shall be read for
the second time and passed, or amended and passed, or
rejected, or its consideration deferred to some specified
future date by the said Commission, provided, that no
ordinance shall be passed until it has been published as
required by this Section at least five days. Ordinances,
when passed by the Commission, shall be permanently
filed by the Secretary Commissioner in a book or books
kept for that purpose. The Secretary Commissioner shall
deliver to the Judge of the People's Court of Wicomico
County a certified copy of all ordinances for the violation
of which the said Judge may impose a fine or imprison-
ment, or both, or other punishment. And the said Judge
shall take judicial notice of all ordinances, so certified to
him, and of the due preparation thereof.

(D) That the said Commissioner may annually ap-
point a Constable and also such additional police officers
as from time to time may be necessary to preserve the
peace and order of the Town, the Constable shall attend
all meetings of the said Commission, shall execute all
orders of the said Commission and shall perform such
other duties as the Commission may assign him. The
Constable shall preserve the peace and good order of the
Town and he may make arrests and serve warrants and
other legal process within, and one mile beyond, the cor-
porate limits of the Town, and he is hereby invested with
the same power and authority as any Constable under the
laws of this State, and he shall be allowed the same fees as
are allowed Constables for similar services and said fees
shall be taxed as a part of the costs of any civil or criminal
case out of which such warrants or legal process shall is-
sue. The said Commission shall allow the said Constable
such compensation as to them may seem right and proper.
The said Constable, before entering upon the duties of his
office, shall make and subscribe an oath before the Secre-
tary Commissioner that he will truly and faithfully to the
best of his ability, skill and judgment, and without favor
or affection, partiality or prejudice, perform the duties of
his office, and such oath shall be recorded among the
minutes of the Commission.

(E) That if any person or persons shall violate any
ordinance passed by the Commission of Fruitland, it is
hereby made the duty of the Constable to obtain from
some Justice of the Peace of Wicomico County, a war-
