visions of Section 2 of this Act, except that the provision
to the change in hours for week day sales as provided
above, shall become effective with the effective date of this
Act; the referendum only to apply to the Sunday sales.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
be submitted to the legally qualified voters of Harford
County, at the regular General Election in 1948, and there
shall be printed on each ballot to be used in said election
in Harford County, the title of this Act, and underneath
thereof, on separate lines, the words "For Sunday Beer"
and "Against Sunday Beer", with a square opposite said
words at the right end of each line, so that each voter
can indicate his or her choice on said question.
The said election shall be conducted and the results
thereof ascertained in accordance with the Constitution
and laws of this State relating to elections, and if it shall
appear from the results of said election that a majority
of the votes cast are "Against Sunday Beer", then this
Act shall not become effective, and it shall be null and
void; but if a majority of the votes cast are "For Sunday
Beer", then this Act shall immediately become effective.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
3 of Chapter 761 of the Acts of 1943, as amended by
Chapter 771 of the Acts of 1945, to eliminate Dorchester
County from the provisions of said Act.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 of Chapter 761 of the Acts of 1943, as
amended by Chapter 771 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
3. All Acts and parts of Acts, whether Public General
or Public Local, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act,
be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
