CHAPTER 15.
(House Bill 10)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
144 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles," sub-title "Op-
eration of Vehicles Upon Highways," as amended by
Chapter 501 of the Acts of 1945, correcting a typographical
error in said section.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 144 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles,"
sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways," as amended
by Chapter 501 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
144. (Interference with Official Traffic-Control Devices or
Railroad Signs or Signals.) No person shall without lawful
authority attempt to or in fact alter, deface, injure, wilfully
knock down, change direction or twist, or remove any official
traffic-control device or any railroad sign or signal or any in-
scription, shield, or insignia thereon, or any other part thereof.
Violation of Sections 141 to 144, inclusive, shall be deemed
to be a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punish-
able by a fine of one dollar ($1.00) to one hundred dollars
($100.00).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 16.
(House Bill 27)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
110A (a) of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1943 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Motor
Vehicle Financial Responsibility", as said section was en-
acted by Chapter 456 of the Acts of 1945, relating to the time
within which reports of accidents must be made.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 110A (a) of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated
