been a resident of the town and a qualified voter in one
of the election precincts centering in the town of Easton
for at least two years next preceding his election, and a
resident of the ward for which he is elected for at least
one year next preceding his election, and each Councilman
shall receive for his services the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00) per year, and the President of the
Council shall receive for his services the sum of Three
Hundred Dollars ($300.00).

160. The Mayor, by virtue of his office, shall see that
the ordinances of the town are duly and faithfully exe-
cuted ; by and with the advice and consent of the Council,
he shall appoint a town attorney, chief of police and town
clerk, and such other officers as the ordinances of the town
may provide; he shall annually, on the first Monday in
April, report to the Council in writing the general state
of the town, with an accurate account of money received
and expended, which said report shall be published in one
or more newspapers of said town, giving a full and par-
ticular statement of all receipts and disbursements; he shall
have power to remove any of the officers appointed by him
for neglect or violation of any duties pertaining to their
respective offices, and shall appoint others in their stead,
subject to confirmation by the Council, as in the case of
original appointments; he shall have general supervision
of the town and shall receive for his services an annual
salary of seven hundred and fifty dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
454 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County",
sub-title "Roads", and to add two new sections to said
Article and title, said new sections to be known as Sec-
tions 451 1/2 and 452A, said Section 4511/2 to follow imme-
diately after Section 451 of said Article, and said Section
452A to follow immediately after Section 452 of said
