and every day they shall be employed as such, which
shall be in full and in lieu of all other allowances now au-
thorized by law; and the Commissioners are authorized and
directed to levy annually, for the use of the crier and bailiffs
of said court, on the assessable property of said county, such
sum of money as they shall deem sufficient to pay their per
diem for both the general and equity terms thereof; and upon
presentation to said County Commissioners, of the certificates
of the clerk of said court, certifying the number of days in
which they have been engaged at each term of said court,
they shall be entitled to receive their per diem in cash; and
the said County Commissioners are directed upon presenta-
tion thereof, to pay the same.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to legalize the 1947 Edition of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Montgomery County, being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, compiled and
edited by Horace E. Flack.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery
County, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, compiled and edited by Horace E. Flack, be
and the same is hereby legalized, and shall be deemed and
taken in all the courts of the State, and by all Justices of the
Peace and Trial Magistrates of the State, and by all public
officials of the State, to be evidence of the Public Local Laws
of Montgomery County, in existence at the time of compila-
tion ; provided, that before the said 1947 Edition is published,
all Public Local Laws enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland at its session in 1947, relating to Montgomery
County, shall be incorporated therein.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.
