CHAPTER 83.
(House Bill 272)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
28 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-
title "Almshouse", as Section 28 was amended by Chapter
653 of the Acts of 1943, relating to the compensation of
the Trustees of the Almshouse.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 28 of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington
County", sub-title "Almshouse", as Section 28 was amended
by Chapter 653 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

28. The trustees may annually retain, out of the money
levied for their use, the sum of Three Hundred Dollars
($300) for each of such trustees as compensation for their
services.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 84.
(Senate Bill 62)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
72B of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerks
of the Circuit Courts", as said section was enacted by Chap-
ter 1016 of the Acts of 1945, relating to plats required for
filing and recording in connection with certain sub-divisions
of land and other purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 72B of Article 17 of the Annotated Code
