Hundred Dollars ($100.00), and shall be payable to said
Clerk, before any such license is issued, for distribution as
hereinafter provided. This section shall not apply to Alle-
gany, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Caroline, Dorchester, Freder-
ick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Queen Anne's, St.
Mary's, Somerset and Talbot Counties.
The hours during which the privileges conferred by such
a license may be exercised shall be from 6 A. M. to 12 o'clock
midnight, except in Baltimore City, Baltimore County,
and Prince George's County where the hours shall be from
6 A. M. until 1 A. M. on the day following, and except in
Prince George's County where the closing hours shall not
apply, but no holder of such license shall be permitted to
make any sale on the day of any general, special or primary
election.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
209 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-
title "Crier", as amended by Chapter 569 of the Acts of
1941 and changing said sub-title to "Crier and Bailiffs",
providing for compensation of crier and bailiffs.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 209 of Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "Crier", as amended by Chapter 569 of the
Acts of 1941, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
209. The crier and bailiffs of the Circuit Court shall be
entitled to and receive a per diem of Five Dollars for each
