52. The pay of the Crier and Bailiffs of the Circuit Court
for Worcester County shall be five dollars a day pay-
able by the County Commissioners of Worcester County
upon presentation of the certificate of the Clerk of said
Court setting out the respective attendance and service of
the said Crier and Bailiffs, and the County Commissioners
of Worcester County are required to levy in advance each
year a sum of money sufficient to pay said Crier and Bailiffs
for such attendance and service.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 82
of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Calvert County", sub-title "County
Commissioners", as said section was amended by Chapter
725 of the Acts of 1943, increasing the compensation of the
Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 82 of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", as said section was amended by
Chapter 725 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
82. The County Commissioners shall annually appoint as
clerk to their board a person of integrity and judgment, who
shall have been trained in the matter of bookkeeping and who
shall be skillful with respect to the keeping of accounts, and
who shall hold his office until his successor is appointed and
qualified. In addition to the duties now imposed upon the said
clerk by law he shall make frequent inspection of the records of
the County Treasurer, shall check all reports submitted by the
County Treasurer to the County Commissioners and shall keep
the County Commissioners fully informed as to the fiscal
affairs of the county. He shall also perform such other duties
as may be required of him by the County Commissioners. He
