shall in addition thereto perform such other and further'
duties as the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County may impose upon said clerk. Before enterin upon
the duties of the office, the said Motor Vehicle Transfer
Clerk shall take an oath before any of said County Commis-
sioners of Prince George's County that he or she, as the case
may be, will without partiality or prejudice, discharge the
duties of the office of Motor Vehicle Transfer Clerk. The
said Motor Vehicle Transfer Clerk so appointed shall be en-
titled to a salary of not exceeding Two Thousand Five Hun-
dred Dollars ($2,500.00) per annum, payable in equal semi-
monthly installments which shall be in full for all and any
services rendered by said Motor Vehicle Transfer Clerk at
the discretion of the County Commissioners.

SEC, 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1947.

CHAPTEE 76.
(House Bill 208)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
390 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (Flack's Edition, 1943), as enacted by Chapter 908,
Section 318 of the Acts of 1945, to provide for an increase
in salary of the Transfer Clerk, and to define his duties.

SERMON 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 390 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, Maryland (Flack's Edition, 1943),
as enacted by Chapter 908, Section 318 of the Acts of 1945,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

390. They shall in the month of March, 1914, and every two
years thereafter, appoint a Transfer Clerk for Prince George's
County, who shall, subject to the control, direction and de-
cision of the said County Commissioners, correct and keep
the assessment books of Prince George's County so that the
same will truly show the actual owner or owners of each
piece of property thereon. To this end said Transfer Clerk
shall diligently hunt for and ascertain the true owner or
owners of all property on said books not in their respective
