Pending the consideration thereof,

On motion by Mr. Ford,
The Senate, at 2.41 P. M., went into Executive Session.

At 3.10 P. M., the Senate resumed the consideration of
Legislative business.

On motion by Mr. Stump, it was,

Ordered, That the Chairman of Committee on Claims be
authorized to issue his certificate in favor of the Acting Jour-
nal Clerk of the Senate, for ten days per diem for services
rendered as such, and for correcting and revising the un-
printed journals of the Senate during the recess of the Senate,

Mr. McLane submitted the following :

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Claims
be, and is hereby, directed to issue his certificate to C. W.
Warren, Post Master of the Senate, for the sum of two hun-
dred dollars, for work done out of hours, and faithful per-
formance of duty,

Which was rejected by yeas and nays, as follows:
