judgments obtained in Courts of Record to be superseded
before the Courts rendering the same.
On motion by Mr. Gorman,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to be entitled an Act to amend the charter
of the American Coal Company, of Allegany County, and
enlarge the powers of said Company, so as to enable said
Company to purchase, subscribe for and hold such amount of
the capital stock of any Railroad now constructed, or that
may be constructed from the property of said Company, in
Allegany County, to the City of Cumberland.
Mr. Hill, from the Committee on Agriculture, reported
favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act for the prevention of cruelty to
animals in the State of Maryland.

Mr. Dennis, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably the following bills:
Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing the Register of
Wills (or Montgomery County to make a general index to
the last wills and testaments, recorded in the office of the
Register of Wills for Montgomery County.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an. Act to repeal Section 41, of Article
29, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Courts, "
and to re-enact the same as follows.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act, assigning the interest of the
State of Maryland in certain personal assets of Cyntice Can-
non, a deceased intestate, born out of wedlock, unto Catha-
rine M. Cannon, of Dorchester County.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact Section
29, of Chapter 151, of the Acts of 1872, entitled an Act to
incorporate the town of Crisfield, in Somerset County.
