of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act to establish the Mary-
land House of Correction,

With the following proposed amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 10, line 3, strike out "vagrant tramp," and in
same line the words "or any habitual drunkard."

Sec. 8, line 3, insert after the word "annum," the words
"or so much thereof as may be necessary."

Sec. 2, line 2, add after the word "works," "who shall
always be ex officio members of the Board."

Sec. 3, line 6, after the word "serve," insert "without

compensation."

Sec. 9, line 5, between the words "shall and sentence,"
insert "in its discretion."
