On motion by Mr. Dennis,

The rules were suspended so as to give a second -reading
this day to said bill, by yeas and nays, as follows:

NEGATIVE—None.

Said Resolutions were then read a second time, and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Clerk of the Mouse of Delegates appealed, and deliv-
ered the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to sanction, confirm and make
valid a bequest of five hundred dollars in the will and testa-
ment of Mrs. Ursula Wilcoxon, late of Montgomery county,
deceased, to the vestry of Prince George's Parish, in said
county, and to authorize and empower said vestry to take
and receive the same and hold it subject to the provisions of
said will.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

House hill entiled an Act to give assent of the General As-
semble to a devise in the will of Frances Thompson, feme sole,
late of Washington County, deceased, to the trustees of the
Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown, in said county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners
of the Town of Cambrige, Dorchester County, to purchase or
condemn a lot and to erect thereon a fire engine house and a
market house.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Sulivane. Stump and Humphreys.

Mr. McLane, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably.

Senate bill entitled an Act to make effectual the provisions
made by the act of December Session, 1844, Chapter 281, en-
