Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Worcester County to open a road in said,
county, and to permit gates to be placed across the same.

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Kent County to alter or widen private roads,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay O. P. Sparks, late Sheriff of Talbot County, for services
rendered in the enforcement of the oyster law, and to pay
certain persons therein named for their services as special
police during the trial of violators of the oyster laws, at St.
Michael's, in Talbot County,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Harford County, to pay to David Carsen, sur-
viving executor of David Hayes, a sum of money erroneously
paid by him and his co-executor for taxes of the estate of Da-
vid Hayes,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of John Henry
Noble, Collector of State and County Taxes, in Election Dis-
tricts Nos. 2 and 12, of Dorchester County, for the years 1874
and 1875, and his sureties,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Mr. Steiner, from a Select Committee, reported

House bill entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace in Allegany and other counties, in pet-
ty criminal cases, by adding new sections to Article 1, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Allegany County,"
sub-title "Justices of the Peace," to be numbered 98 A, 98
B, 98 C, 98 D, 98 B, 98 F and 98 G,

With the request that it be referred to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings.

Said bill was then referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.
