Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 16, of Article

29, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Courts,"
sub-title "Judgments," as amended by the Act of 1862,

Chapter 262, and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 45, of Article
51, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Justices
of the Peace," sub-title "Supersedeas aud Execution," and
to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read the second time, aud ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, Sections 42, of Artcle 37, of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, title "Evidence," sub-title "Proof of
Foreign Debts and other Instruments," so as to read as
follows,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to
Article 53, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Land-
lord and Tenant," sub-title "Distress for Rent," for the
better protection of tenants,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, Sections 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 and 11, of Chapter 233,
of the Acts of 1874, entitled an Act to establish the Mary-
land House of Correction,"

Was read the third time, and rejected, (for want of a Consti-

tutional majority,) by yeas and nays as follows :
